PURPOSE: A piezoresistive pressure measuring plug for a combustion engine is provided to reduce the weight of the rod and the inertia of the rod to the pressure of the combustion chamber which is transferred to the sensing structure. CONSTITUTION: A piezoresistive pressure measuring plug for a combustion engine comprises plug bodies(106,108,110), a rod(102), and a sensing structure(104). The plug bodies are inserted in a cylinder of the combustion engine. The rod is arranged in the plug bodies. The sensing structure including a piezoresistive element is arranged between the rod and the plug bodies, and the sensing structure is operated by the pressure generated in the combustion chamber of the cylinder in use. The rod transfers the pressure of the combustion chamber of the cylinder to the sensing structure.
