PURPOSE: An array substrate for a liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent foreground generation in both ends of a bar shaped opening. CONSTITUTION: A gate insulating layer is formed on a gate line(105). A thin film transistor is electrically connected to the gate line and a data line(130). The first protective layer covers the thin film transistor, the gate line and the data line. A common electrode(170) has bar shaped openings. Both ends of a long axis of the opening is exposed to the outside of a pixel electrode. |
