PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically detecting counterfeit bill is provided to enhance accuracy of counterfeit detection by testing various security factors. CONSTITUTION: A main body(1) includes an opened bottom part. A receiving part(11) is formed inside the main body. A light source(2) is mounted to an inner circumference of a bottom end of the main body, and comprises a plurality of ultraviolet LEDs(23) which irradiates a light at a different angle and a plurality of LEDs(22a,22b,22c) which emits wavelength different from the ultraviolet LEDs. An imaging device(3) is mounted to a top end of the receiving part of the main body in order to photograph an image of a bill(7) for a test. An image processing device(4) determines the bill for a test by using the image photographed in the imaging device. A light source controller(5) controls the light source. A magnifying lens(6) is formed between the light source and the imaging device.
