PURPOSE: A focus servo control method and an apparatus, and an optical disc drive using the same are provided to perform the focus operation using a focus control signal. CONSTITUTION: An adder(450) adds a focus bias value in an initial to a second focus control signal. A switching device(460) selects and outputs a signal inputted from the servo controller, in a focus learning mode. A signal inputted from the adder selects and outputs the signal input from the adder in a focus execution mode. A focus operation part(470) creates a focus drive signal for transferring the lens of pick-up to the vertical direction with the signal outputted from a switching arrangement.
