摘要 PURPOSE: A NOx reduction system using synthetic gas and a control method thereof are provided to reduce the amount of nitric oxide in the exhaust gas exhausted from the combustion chamber by supplying the synthetic gas, provided by the reformer according to the load condition of the engine, selectively to the NOx post processing device and the combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION: A NOx reduction system using synthetic gas comprises a fuel injection device(3) which injects a fuel into a combustion chamber, an exhaust gas recirculation device(6) which returns a part of exhaust gas burned and exhausted from the combustion chamber, a NOx post processing device(7) which removes NOx from the exhaust gas, a DPF device(8) which removes particulates from the exhaust gas, and a reformer(9) which supplies a synthetic gas to the combustion chamber and the NOx post processing device with the amount varying according to the load condition of the engine.
