PURPOSE: An unmanned charging system for electronic payment and a method thereof are provided to charge the amount of money for electronic payment by a payment with a mobile terminal using unmanned charging system and electronic payment issuing server. CONSTITUTION: An unmanned charger(100) charges the predetermined amount of money for electronic payment in an electronic payment unit. The electronic payment unit issuing server(200) transmits the authentication request signal to the corresponding mobile communication company server(300) based on the user information received from the unmanned charger. The electronic payment unit issuing server creates the authentication number according to the authentication approval signal. When the unmanned charger requests the match of the authentication number, the electronic payment unit issuing server transmits the match check signal or the retransmission request signal to the unmanned charger.
