The electrically regulated heating mat system for open areas comprises one or more interconnected heating mats which can be embodied in any dimension and which consist of weather- and salt-resistant rubber or plastic. The heating mats are laid on the areas and, by means of fixing devices (9, 10, 18, 19, 28), are temporarily fixed to the substrate. The heating mats are operated by the supply of an electric current which is, however, supplied to the heating conductors (23) only when the situation requires. A storage film (1d) and/or a storage fabric, preferably made of aluminum, is inlaid between the parallel connected heating conductor (23) and the covering mat (1a), in order to obtain protection for the conductor and better heat distribution. The current fed into the heating mats comes from the accumulator unit (4) which is supplied via solar panels (6) and/or a mains voltage (13) of, e.g., 220V (country-specific mains voltage). The mats are flattened off towards the edges and produced with yellow and black edge markings. An optional inscription on the mats can increase safety and/or be used as advertising space. |
