摘要 PURPOSE: A differential ultra wide band system utilizing an averaged reference signals apparatus and method is provided to improve BER(Bit Error Rate) performance without decreasing the transmission rate of a system. CONSTITUTION: A differential ultra wide band system includes a binary transmission data bit generator(101), a differential encoder(102), a level shifter(103), a pulse generator(104), a band pass filter(111), a correlator(112), a bit detector(113), and a reference template enhancer(114). A transmitter of a D-TR(Differential-Transmitted Reference) UWB system is included in order to data without the reduction of data transmission rate in a transmitting terminal of a TR(Transmitted Reference)-type UWB(Ultra Wide Band) system. Through the usage of a reference bit and the bit detected in the receiving terminal of the TR-type UWB, the average of received reference signals are obtained reflexively. The SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio) of a reference template that is used in data demodulation is improved.
