The member 9 is rotatably mounted on a tube 1 slidably fitted into a rotatable but axially fixed tube 2, the tubes constituting the steering shaft 3. An axially and rotationally fixed steering column 7, having axial slots 8 at the upper end, encloses the shaft 3, the slots co-operating with the member 9 to prevent rotation thereof. |
