<p>A telescopic safety rail for a bath that extends vertically from the rim of the bath comprises two tubes, one sliding inside the other, where one of the tubes has a plurality of slots spaced apart along the length of the pole that are joined together by a channel, a protrusion on the second tube may engage with a slot in the first tube, thereby locking the rail in predetermined positions. During use, the tube with the protrusion is raised and rotated until it drops into slot on the opposing tube at the height desired, assisting a bather from entering and exiting a bath. The rail is mounted on floor behind the bath panel and extends through the rim/side of the bath and may have a ball as handle.</p> |
