PURPOSE: A safety device for gas is provided, which prevent fire hazard by overheat while food being cooked through cooker. CONSTITUTION: A safety device for gas comprises a fire-extinguishing main body(10) which can be detachably installed to cooker and forms fire extinguishing agent discharge path; a fire extinguishing agent storage(20) which is formed in one side of the fire-extinguishing main body, stores an amount of fire extinguishing agent, and is equipped with a supply opening and outlet; and a valve member which is connected to the outlet side of the fire extinguishing agent storage and controls the flow of the fire extinguishing agent through the outlet.
