Sealing layer for decorative films on glass or glass-ceramic articles

Production of a sealing layer comprises forming a decorative layer using a sol-gel method by applying the layer onto a glass or glass-ceramic substrate, hardening by firing and covering the decorative layer with a sealing layer also using a sol-gel method. Inorganic decorative pigments and fillers are mixed with a sol. The decorative pigments contain plate-like pigment particles and inorganic solid lubricant. The mixture is applied with the decorative layer onto the substrate and hardened at high temperature. An independent claim is also included for a glass or glass-ceramic product produced using the above method.
