The tube is flattened in a tube collapsing section(4) by rolls. The upper half of the rolls has brush rolls(6) with bristles angled from the roll center to the roll ends. When under pressure in contact with the film(3) the bristles spread the film in an outward direction. The upper roll at least acts a spreading roll and preferably a number of brush rolls(6) are located in the upper half of the collapsing section. A variation(8) of the brush roll has bristles arranged in a spiral. Spreading rolls(6 or 8) can move individually in the film production direction. |
