The arrangement has L-shaped vertical rails (50) provided on a rear face (20) of a fairing (16) i.e. fan fairing. A fixation clip assures positioning and blocking of an air intake pipe (26) in an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, with respect to the fan fairing along a vertical movement. The rear face has a lower fixation site that is situated below an opening and receives fixation tabs situated on the air intake pipe in the internal combustion engine. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting an air intake pipe on a fan fairing in an internal combustion engine.
