The wheel (1) has a hub (3) located on a centre of a circular rim (2), and spokes (4) formed by a polymerized composite material chord (5) including synthetic fiber woven e.g. polyester. The chord is laced up between the hub and the rim, and includes a core constituted of epoxy resin impregnated unidirectional carbon fibers bundle. Polyurethane inserts are maintained in a structural mousse of the rim, where the inserts are provided with circular grooves communicating between each other. The hub has lateral flanges (9) with throats opening in a periphery. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing a wheel.
