The arrangement (1) has a catalyst (15) arranged downstream of an internal combustion engine (5). Another catalyst (27) is arranged downstream to the catalyst (15). An electrical heater (11) is assigned to the catalyst (15) to heat the catalyst (15) and/or exhaust gas flow (3). Another heater (23) is assigned to the catalyst (27) to heat the catalyst (27) and/or the flow. The catalyst (15) is designed as oxidation catalyst, the catalyst (27) is designed as a selective catalytic reduction catalyst or both the catalysts are designed as nitrogen oxide storage catalysts (17, 29). An independent claim is also included for a method for purifying exhaust gas flow of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle with catalyst arrangement.
