The drive chain (3), stiff under pressure, has identical swing units (2) with a convex surface (A") on one side and a concave surface (A') on the other side with the drive units (9) centrally between them. On passing around a curve the surfaces slide against each other to be pushed partially out of engagement. At the end of the curve, they return to a bonding grip position between them. The convex surfaces transit into a straight section (13) to an end profile (12).
