PURPOSE: A device for accessing a manager in a digital broadcasting receiver and a method therefor are provided to originally prevent access of an external person which is not permitted through an interface device exposed to the outside of a DTV. CONSTITUTION: An interface device(120) is electrically connected to an external computer. A switching device(130) is arranged in an input/output signal line between a main control unit and the interface device. The switching device opens/closes a signal line according to an external on/off control signal. If passwords inputted from an input device are identical with a preset password, a microcomputer(150) outputs a switch on control signal to the switching device. The microcomputer physically connects the main controller with the external computer. |
