A ball bearing assembly for non axial loads has the bearing balls (8) held between outer and inner races (2, 5) each with shoulders (4, 7) on a diagonal thrust track and with a cage (10) at one end and an outer main seal (11) at the other end. The main seal has a metal reinforcing (19) angled to extend along the cylindrical section of the outer race and with an angled tip (21, 22) to locate against the ball bearings. The reinforcing includes a ratchet grip (24) to locate into a ring groove inside the outer race, to assist with the assembly of the bearing. |
