PURPOSE: A contact body for communication for connecting an optical cable is provided to prevent damage to a connecting part of a contact body by using a supporting ring body, a protrusion, and a latch block. CONSTITUTION: A narrow diameter part(10) and an expansion diameter part(20) are formed in one end and the other end of a contact body(1). A supporting ring body(11) and a spring(12) are formed in an outer circumference of the narrow diameter part. The supporting ring body is coupled into a longitudinal direction of the contact body. The spring supports the supporting ring body. A protrusion(21), a latch block(22), and a sub spring(23) are formed in an inner circumference of the expansion diameter part. The protrusion is connected to a rear surface of the supporting ring body. The latch block is connected to a front surface of the supporting ring body. The sub spring is connected to the latch block. The expansion diameter part is inserted to an outer part of the narrow part of the other contact body. The protrusion and the latch block are coupled in a front surface and a rear surface of the supporting ring body.
