Protein powder contains at least a protein source (I) and a stabilizer (II) selected from esterified pectin and/or carboxymethylcellulose and is obtained by mixing (I) with (II) and heating, homogenizing and drying the mixture to give a powder. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) production of the powder using the cited stages; (2) methods of producing a drink containing protein from the powder; (3) the drink per se.
