<p>This invention refers to the reading head of an encoder with the option of changing operation parameters and to the method of changing the operation parameters, this means programming of the reading head. The electronics of the reading head consists of a sensor field (10), a programmable process unit (11), a memory unit (12) and line drivers (13) as well as additional analogue switches (15), where these switches (15) are positioned between the bus lines (17) and a terminal (14) while by being switched on or off they link or interrupt the connection between the bus lines (17) and the terminal (14), as well as an optional additional switch (16) which is linked to the line drivers (13). The programming method includes the switching of analogue switches (15) on and thus establishing the connection between bus lines (17) and the terminal (14) lines, while at the same time the setting of line drivers (13) in the state of high impedance as well as data transfer from the external programming device, attached to terminal (14) to the memory unit (12) via bus lines (17).</p> |
