PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a broadcasting control method thereof are provided to determine an altering state of channel/program-associated data by confirming simply the altering state of the pre-stored channel/program-associated data. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) receives first channel/program-associated data. A control unit(180) determines the correspondence between the received first channel/program-associated data and the first channel/program-associated data stored in a memory. The control unit controls a wireless communication unit in order to receive the entire channel/program-associated data when the received first channel/program-associated data do not correspond to the first channel/program-associated data stored in the memory. The control unit updates the channel/program-associated data stored in the memory on the basis of the received entire channel/program-associated data.
