The arrangement (1) has a neutron detector unit (11) with a neutron detection region for detecting neutron radiation passing through a control element (3). An evaluation unit is connected with the neutron detector unit. A moving unit rotatably moves the control element to be tested relative to radiation direction of a neutron source unit (5) and the detecting region of the neutron detector unit such that radiography of the control element under different incidence angles of the neutron radiation with its respective detection of its part passing through the control element is possible.
