The seat (1) has a seat part (3) with a seat surface, and a backrest part (5) with a backrest surface for a vehicle occupant. The backrest part is pivoted from an operational position into a non-operational position, and comprises a support for an adapter part (12) on a rear side turned towards the backrest surface. The support serves for supporting a functional part (15). The adapter part comprises an adapter receiver (13) i.e. plate, supported in the part (5), and rails (14) supported in the receiver for displaceable support of the part (15). The part (5) comprises a projection or recess.
