The device (1) has electromagnetic-lift magnets (3) for loading a locking unit (4), such that a shaft (2) is fixed to a vehicle-fixed component (5) in a detachable manner. An energy storage (6) e.g. spring (9), has a permanent magnet (7) e.g. slide bearing (12), whose magnetic field is partially cancelled during current feed of the lift magnets. The energy storage has an axial force (Ff) acting in the same direction as an axial force (Fs) of a coil (10) of the lift magnets, and sealings (16, 16') are arranged at axial front surfaces of the coil for sealing the locking device.
