<p>The invention refers to a pedal assembly for land vehicles which includes an enclosure (1) attached to the corresponding part of the chassis with legs (11, 12) including a bolt (2) running approximately in transverse to the driving direction. On the specified bolt (2) there is in the area between the two legs (11, 12) of the enclosure (1) a rotationally located pedal (3) whose shift in the area of the driver's legs during the car crash is prevented in such a way that the relative movement of the enclosure (1) regarding the smaller shift of the relatively rigid bracket which is also attached at the corresponding area in the vehicle results in the breaking of the specified bolt (2). The pedal assembly according to the invention is equipped with a breaking strap (4) which is in the case of a car crash supported on the corresponding and adequately rigid bracket inside the vehicle, while the specified strap (4) is equipped with at least two blades (43, 44) which are located next to the bolt (2) and aimed at shear-type breaking of the bolt (2) during the translation movement of the enclosure (1) regarding the strap (4) in an at least approximately longitudinal direction of the strap (4). This way in the case of a crash a shifting of the pedal and sharp components of the assembly in the area of the driver's legs is prevented.</p> |
