OMNIDIRECTIONAL OPTICS AND CAMERA SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An omni-directional optical system and an omni-directional camera with the same are provided to reduce the volume and weight through easiness of design and simplification of a structure. CONSTITUTION: Incident light is refracted through a refraction unit(113) of a catadioptric lens(110). The first reflecting unit(123) reflects the refracted incident light toward the central part of a refraction unit. The second reflecting unit(124) reflects the reflected incident light to a relay lens unit(130). A transmission unit(125) transmits the light reflected from the second reflecting unit. A pentaprism(140) includes a reflecting unit(141) to reflect the incident light passing through the relay lens unit in the right angle direction.
