PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Saxifraga caespitosa extract is provided to ensure high effects of cell protection, antioxidation, whitening, anti-wrinkle and antiaging. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0.1-10.0 weight% of Saxifraga caespitosa extract. The extract is isolated using alcohol of C1-C4 and alkyleneglycol of C1-C4. The cosmetic composition is used in the form of water soluble liquid, lotion, cream, gel, pack, essence, and powder of oil in water, water in oil, or water in silicon. A method for preparing Saxifraga caespitosa comprises: a step of extracting Saxifraga caespitosa with alcohol of C1-C4, alkylene glycol of C1-C4 and performing sedimentation for 3 to 30 days; and a step of filtering the solution.
