FENOFIBRATE STABLE COMPOSITIONS FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION AND USE THEREOF

The present invention relates to a stable fenofibrate composition for oral administration comprising particles of fenofibrate having an effective average particle size of less than about 2000 nm; and at least one surface stabilizer, wherein the composition exhibits bioequivalence upon administration to a human subject in a fed state as compared to administration to a human subject in a fasted state, where the surface stabilizer is selected from a combination of dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate (DOSS) with hypromellose and sodium lauryl sulfate or vinyl acetate and vinyl pyrrolidone random copolymers. The invention also relates to the use of said composition in manufacturing formulation.
