MONITORING PERFORMANCE OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK

A method of monitoring performance of a telecommunications network transmitting in real time multimedia data from a content provider to a device operating in the networkis disclosed. The method comprises the steps of receiving said multimedia data; collecting information about the connection used to receive the multimedia data; producing a receiver report; appending said report with an identifier of a segment of the telecommunications network in which the device operates and transmitting said report to said telecommunications network.
