Electrical connection is formed between one or more film-insulated wires and a terminal by crimping the terminal onto the end of the insulated wire(s), facing the end of the wire(s) and terminal so that they are co-planar, and ultrasonically welding commoning plate of conductive metal to the wire and terminal ends so that conducting path is formed through the conducting plate.
