PURPOSE: A fuel cell interconnection structure is provided to minimize the formation of a thick chrome oxide layer and to improve performance and life span of a fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: A fuel cell interconnection structure is made of a ferrite-based stainless steel and comprises chrome. A method for forming a diffusion barrier layer(56) on the surface of at least one of a fuel cell interconnection structure(50) comprises the steps of: spreading the coating of an austenite-based stabilizer on the surface of the interconnection structure; and heating the coated surface.
