<p>A device for distributing fluid over granule bed(s) in a multistage column of plates divided into panels comprises (a) a grid or perforated plate (upper grid) supporting the bed (2), (b) a collecting baffle (5), open in the center, (c) a distributor (7), consisting of a grid or perforated plate for redistributing flow exiting a panel over the whole bed surface below the panel and (d) a chicane (9) between the baffle and the distributor or upper grid. A device is claimed for distributing fluid supplied to granule bed(s) in a multistage column with a series of plates, each supporting a solid granule bed and divided into adjacent panels covering the whole column section. The device is applied to at least part of the panels of the plate and comprises (a) a grid or perforated plate (upper grid) supporting the particle bed (2), (b) a collecting baffle (5), open in the center, (c) a distributor (7), consisting of a grid or perforated plate for redistributing the flow exiting the panel over the whole surface of the bed below the panel and (d) a chicane (9), between the baffle and distributor (position P1) or between the upper grid and baffle (position P2). An independent claim is included for a simulated moving bed separation process using the device, in which the main fluid passing through the device has density 600-950 kg/m 3>and viscosity 0.1-0.6 cPa.</p> |
