PURPOSE: An osteogenic synthetic peptide is provided to promote osteoblast differentiation and treat osteoporosis, bone defect disease and/or osteoarthritis. CONSTITUTION: An osteogenic synthetic peptide comprises 15 amino acids of BMP-7(Bone Morphogenetic Protein-7) and promotes osteoblast differentiation or osteogenesis. The adding amount of the peptide is 0.1~2 μg/ml. A pharmaceutical composition contains the peptide or its non-toxic salt, pharmaceutical or veterinarily acceptable liquid or solid carrier. A medium composition of osteoblast contains the peptide or its non-toxic salt and liquid or solid carrier in making the medium.
