COMPOSITION HAVING THE ANTIBACTERIAL ACTION TO PROPIONIBACTERIUM ACNES AND THE INHIBITORY ACTION TO 5alpha-REDUCTASE'S ACTIVITY

PURPOSE: A composition containing Evodia Rutaecarpa and Polyporus Umbellatus for treating and preventing acne is provided to strongly suppress activation of testosterone 5 alpha-reductase and ensure high antibacterial activity to Propionibacterium acnes. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating acne contains Evodia Rutaecarpa and Polyporus Umbellatus. The content of dried powder of the Evodia Rutaecarpa and Polyporus Umbellatus extract is 0.01~10 weight%. The Evodia Rutaecarpa and Polyporus Umbellatus extract is isolated using purified water, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, glycerol, propylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, benzene, hexane, diethyl ather or dichloromethane. The composition is liquid phase, cream phase, paste phase or solid phase.
