<p>A cylinder lock (100) has a first actuator assembly (102) and a second actuator assembly (106) positioned either side of a cam (132). The first and second actuator assemblies (102, 106) can selectively actuate the cam (132) by means of a clutch (142, 150) movable between two conditions. Removal of a component of the lock mechanism such as the first actuator assembly (102) causes a security mechanism to actuate the clutch into a third, locked condition. In the first and second conditions, the clutch provides a force path between the first and second actuators respectively to the cam. The cam (132) may be substantially the same width as the interior width of a locking assembly (50). The cylinder lock (100) may have a predetermined weakened area on the first actuator side of a cam which may break during attempted forced entry into a closure.</p> |
