The invention relates to a screen made of a radio-protective material in order to protect an operator from X-ray or other types of ionising radiation emissions. The screen (1) of the invention comprises a front wall (2) including a vertical or substantially vertical lower panel (2a) extending in the form of a transparent upper panel inclined forward and defining an overhang for the operator to move closer to the operation area, wherein said lower panel (2a) bears on the ground via at least one base (10) provided with casters (11), at least two of said so-called front casters (11b) being each mounted at the end of a bearing member (12) extending in a cantilever manner from said lower panel (2a) towards the front on the same side as said upper panel relative to said lower panel (2a). The base further includes: a means (15, 16) for enabling the movement of at least one bearing member (12) in a horizontal plane relative to the associated front wall (22) into active positions in front of said screen (1); and a means (20, 21) for locking in position the correctly-moved mobile bearing member (12), particularly to enable an adjustment of the gap between the bearing members (12) extending at the front of said screen (1). |
