A caravan trailer (10) comprising a trailer assembly (14) and a pod (12), the trailer assembly comprising a chassis (18) having wheels (22) and a tow bar (24); wherein the pod (12) is releasably mounted on the chassis (18) and wherein the assembled caravan trailer (10) has a maximum vertical height of less than 1.8 m and an unloaded weight of 750 kg or less.
