The invention relates to a mass spectroscopy dementia brain condition fingerprint for identifying the presence of a dementia brain condition and/or identifying the progression of a dementia brain condition comprising peaks derived from the following ions: ions derived from a proteolytically digested peptide the ions having (m/z) values of : 2048, 1434 and 1336 (+/- 0.02 %) and optionally one or more of the following additional ions, the additional ions having (m/z) values of : 2734, 1018, 3225 and/or 3121 (+/- 0.02 %). Methods of identifying a dementia brain disorder are also provided.
