Use of water-soluble graft copolymers in cleaning compositions which in addition to the graft polymer, comprise at least one surfactant component, for hydrophilization and/or improvement of shine retention of hard surfaces, is claimed. The water-soluble graft copolymers are prepared by free-radically initiated graft polymerization of component (a) (40-90 wt.%) comprising monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides and their derivatives, and of monomers (c) (10-50 wt.%) comprising e.g. ethylenically unsaturated nitrogen containing monomers. Use of water-soluble graft copolymers in cleaning compositions which in addition to the graft polymer, comprise at least one surfactant component, for hydrophilization and/or improvement of shine retention of hard surfaces, is claimed. The water-soluble graft copolymers are prepared by free-radically initiated graft polymerization of component (a) (40-90 wt.%) comprising monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides and their derivatives, having monomers (b) (5-40 wt.%) comprising ethylenically unsaturated 3-10C monocarboxylic acids or their alkali metal or ammonium salts, and of monomers (c) (10-50 wt.%) comprising ethylenically unsaturated nitrogen containing monomers and/or ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing sulfo groups. Independent claims are included for: (1) water-soluble graft copolymers produced by free-radically initiated graft polymerization of maltodextrin (45-90 wt.%), 3-trimethyl ammonium propyl methacrylamide chloride (10-40 wt.%) and/or dimethyl-diallyl ammonium chloride and acrylic acid (5-30 wt.%); (2) a cleaning agent comprising at least a surfactant and the graft copolymer as well as optionally water and further ingredients; (3) producing the graft copolymer, comprising providing an aqueous solution of the component (a), heating to a temperature of 60-95[deg] C and reacting the component (a) with a mixture of monomers (b) and/or (c) and a radical initiator; and (4) an aqueous medium comprising 5-25 wt.% of the graft copolymer.
|
