METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CERAMIC NOZZLE FOR A MAGNESIUM STRIP CASTING PROCESS AND A CERAMIC NOZZLE MANUFACTURED BY THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a ceramic nozzle for magnesium strip casting, and the ceramic nozzle prepared by the method are provided to improve yield when applied to the magnesium strip casting process and to reduce percent defective. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a ceramic nozzle for magnesium strip casting comprises the steps of (S10) mixing a mixture of a ceramic fiber, an inorganic binder and an organic binder with water to form a composition; (S20) preparing a board-shaped ceramic molded disc by vacuum molding process; and (S30) processing the edge and surface of the ceramic molded disc into a nozzle shape. The mixture comprises 66 - 79 weight% of a ceramic fiber, 20 - 29 weight% of an inorganic binder and 1 -5 weight% of an organic binder.
