Provided is a polymer/metal complex composite which comprises a block copolymer capable of serving as a constituent of a polymer micelle and a metal complex having an MRI contrast ability, accumulates tumor-specifically, achieves a high contrast resolution even in a small amount, and has reduced side effects and a long retention time in blood. A polymer/metal complex composite comprising a block copolymer (A) represented by general formula (a) and a metal complex (B) having an MRI contrast ability, which has a structure wherein carboxyl anions of poly(carbo) in the copolymer (A) are bonded to the metal complex (B) via metal atoms (M).
