<p>There is provided a system and method for resolution of conflicts between closed captioning and subtitle settings on a media device. More specifically, in one embodiment, there is provided n electronic media device (100), comprising a processor (106), and a memory (108), wherein the processor (106) and memory (108) are configured to cooperate to present a preferred one of closed captions or subtitles of a media program for display and configured to prevent presentation of the other for display based on a preference setting when closed captioning and subtitle settings are both enabled.</p> |
