A reusable, returnable packaging device suitable for clamping comprises a main body extending along an extension axis, a holding face extending parallel to the extension axis and adapted to contain and/or laterally interface with an item to be packed and a pressure face, opposite to the holding face, and adapted to receive a lateral mechanical pressure exerted transversely of the extension axis; the device further comprises a resistant section extending transversely of the extension axis and having strength- increasing means adapted to prevent deformations and/or translations and/or rotations of the device relative to an instantaneous-rotation axis or point that is defined between an interfacing region of the item and a point of application of a lateral pressure onto the pressure face.
