PURPOSE: A two-stroke foam pump is provided to reduce the volume of a compressive mixing chamber formed by the interaction between a piston housing and a piston assembly and to prevent a water leakage while not in use. CONSTITUTION: A two-stroke foam pump(14), which is fixed in a vessel(12) of a refill unit(10) filled with a foaming solution(S) by an over-cap(16), comprises a housing(22) having a compressive mixing chamber(25). The housing includes a side wall(26), a base wall(28), an open end(30), and a post(36). The base wall comprises an opening(32), and a one-directional valve(34) which is positioned in the opening to control the flow of the foaming solution from the compressive mixing chamber. The post is extended from the base wall toward the open end. A piston(44) having an inner bore(46) is accommodated to slide in the mixing chamber. The piston includes a base end(48) positioned close to the base wall, a distribution end(50) positioned outside of the housing and the over-cap, an operating flange(52), and one or more recesses(57) in which respective sealing rings(59) are positioned. A mixing cartridge(60) includes a tubular body(62) with a channel(63) defined by an inlet mesh(64) and an outlet mesh(66).
