摘要 The present invention provides a capacitive power converter for transforming an electric input power (Uo) into an electric output power (Iout). The capacitive power converter (310) includes at least one flying capacitor (311), at least one switching element (312) for periodically charging and discharging the at least one flying capacitor (311) based on a switching frequency (ff) and adjustment means (313, 314) for setting the switching frequency (ff) based on the output power (Iout) of the capacitive power converter (310). Since the adjustment means (313, 314) always set the switching frequency (ff) based on the output power (Iout) of the capacitive power converter (310), electric power losses occurred in the capacitive power converter (310) can be reduced. This leads to reduced heat generation and longer life time of an overall power source.
