COMPOSITION OF NON-WATER SOLUBLE METAL WORKING FLUIDS FROM FATTY ACID RECOVERED FROM USED PLANT'S OIL

PURPOSE: A method for preparing fatty acid methyl ester is provided to prepare fatty acid methyl ester which is used as environmental friendly lubricating base oil, has excellent biodegradability, low toxicity, and good lubrication. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing fatty acid methyl ester comprises the steps of: collecting vegetable oil used in the frying; filtering the collected vegetable oil to remove frying residue included in collected oil; heating the filtered vegetable oil at 60~70 °C for 2~3 hours; leaving the heated vegetable oil, separating vegetable oil which is supernatant, then assorting the refined vegetable oil; neutralizing the refined vegetable oil through transesterification; washing purified vegetable oil, then vacuum-drying the washed vegetable oil; and distilling the vacuum-dried purified vegetable oil.
