A method and a system for employing subscription service content, the method involves: receiving a register request for employing subscription service content transmitted by a user terminal (3), the register request carries an ID of the user terminal (3); according to the user terminal ID, determining whether the amount of the user terminals employing subscription service content registered is greater than the maximum amount of the user terminals permitted to employing subscription service content, if it is no, the user terminal (3) is activated according to the user terminal ID, an authorization for permission of employing service content is provided to the activated user terminal. Using the provided technical solution, the user can employ the service content at different terminals conveniently, and avoiding unlawful diffusion of the service content when the user equipment is performing network switch operation.
