BASE STATION DEVICE, USER EQUIPMENT, AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD

A plurality of transmission bandwidths of reference signals are defined corresponding to a system band; reference signal bandwidths are defined in which the transmission bandwidths of the respective reference signals are hierarchized; and the reference signal bandwidths at lower levels than the reference signal bandwidth at the highest level are configured by dividing the reference signal bandwidth at a higher hierarchy into a plurality of bandwidths.  A base station stores, on a per system band basis, the information about the reference signal bandwidths in which the transmission bandwidths of the respective reference signals are hierarchized, and informs, based on the information about the reference signal bandwidths of the transmission bandwidths of the reference signals, information about the reference signal bandwidth of the transmission bandwidth of a reference signal to be used by the base station.  The base station also sets the frequency hopping bandwidth of a reference signal and notifies a user equipment of one of the reference signal bandwidths as information about the transmission bandwidth in which the reference signal is to be transmitted and the frequency hopping bandwidth.  Based on the information about the reference signal bandwidth of the transmission bandwidth of the reference signal and the information about the transmission bandwidth in which the reference signal is to be transmitted, the base station sets the transmission bandwidth of the reference signal within the range of the frequency hopping bandwidth and receives the reference signal from the user equipment.
